Driving north along California route #101 through  Mendocino, Humboldt and Del Norte Counties, one  reaches the fantastic old growth REDWOOD Groves of Sequoia Sempervirens. These are the world famous groves of "Palo Rojo" or Sequoia Sempervirens. These bucolic spots along the Old Redwood Highway show the South Fork of the Eel River.
