Ocean Beach 1966

What's in a Name? The name of this page is derived from a piece of outlaw hippy art that was carved into the sandstone surf break at Ocean Beach, San Diego, So-Cali. This 10 foot wide sculpture depicted a stylized hippy with beret and blunt striding over a Sherwin-Williams like globe logo and announcing to all in a globally encircling psychedelic script:

This spot quickly became my meditation focal point whenever I visited San Diego and the beloved Ocean Beach of my youth. The Sea has since eaten this piece of hippy history created I am told by a speed crazed Artist and self proclaimed Vandal under the full Moon! My meditations at this spot on Earth soon led to a realization that here was almost my entire theological, philosophical and metaphysical belief in one simple sentence.

I pledged to do whatever I could to further this simple thought.
