On
September 17th at 4pm PDT in California, morning in Australia, sunrise
over the Himalayas, midnight in London, England, people around the
world joined together for a synchronized prayer for peace. The Earthdance
Festival is planet wide. The universal prayer is a powerful moment
that unifies our intention for a peaceful world.
I went to the northern California version of the festival. The music
was fabulous, the art and artists were stellar, and the joining
of hands and minds and hearts during the actual planetary link up
was inspiring!
After the actual prayer more than 5000 people joined hands to do
a traditional Celtic spiral dance. It was the biggest ring around
the rosy that I have ever seen and it lasted well over an hour.
The joy was palpable and contagious.
